About us

"The Red Seraph" is an online almanac of contemporary poetry and short prose created in Russia, as well as outside its borders. The majority of the almanac's authors are young people, many of them previously unpublished. All works submitted to the almanac are reviewed personally by the chief editor and other contributors. Decisions are made on the basis of the artistic merits of the works, as viewed by the editors and other participants.

The almanac had two printed issues in New York in the spring and summer of 1999. Materials published in the printed issues became the basis for the Internet version of the almanac in 2001.

Poetry, prose and creative translations are published in the relevant sections of the almanac.

"The Red Seraph" is a non-commercial publication that does not pay its authors and does not enter into any financial or legal obligations with them other than by observing universal copyright laws. The almanac invites all interested authors to co-operate.
